In this laboratory our main work is the detection of antibodies against bacteria and viruses. We use the classical methods, e.g. complement fixation and agglutination, as well as enzyme immunoassay and western blot / immunoblot.
The latter are especially important in the diagnosis and confirmation of infectious diseases, such as HIV, Hepatitis C or Parvovirus.
